Very long, 22 feet, painted Cofradia - holy house - table from the highlands of Guatemala. Early 20th century. Striking length and color. These tables were where the members of the Cofradia (religious association) met. It was also used as an altar table, which is why there are old burn marks on most of these consoles. It is well proportioned with four large legs with long overhangs on both sides. Mortise and tenon construction. Functional and sturdy.
