A well constructed solid wood cabinet from 19th century Japan. This all original Merchant's Chest has a dark patina which looks likes dark chocolate. There is a secret drawer behind the drawer inside the small door on the right bottom compartment. All drawers and doors work perfectly. This piece is completely functional and has so much storage. A perfect Buffet or or chest of drawers.
